What the freaking JELLO!

Ok, it's official. My sims game? It hates me. As if it crashing all the flipping time isn't enough, it decided to do the unthinkable:
Block me out.
You see, you remember that update from a long time ago? With two little things it fixed? You know how everyone said the update was totally fine?
Well, they freaking lied.
You see, I never updated that one. IN fact, I wasn't going to, until I got tired of the little update pop up thing and I was like, WHAT THE HECK. I'LL FLIPPING UPDATE, OK!? I figured since it was only two things, it would all be ok. I was wrong, very very wrong.
My game now tells me, and these are the exact words:
"The Sims 3 Base Game is incompatiable with the current Sims 3 expansion pack. Please update your game via the game launcher."
Yeah... I'm all updated. And it doesn't work and it won't let me play. If this makes me lose everything again, after I had just started to gain everything back, I'm going to go flipping crazy. I'm not even sad this time, no I'm angry. Very, very, very angry. If anyone has idea's on how I can salvage this, please, let me know! :O
